We are in the process of expanding our team and will be moving into a new Vancouver studio.

We are looking for an IT Support Technician who will be helping in setting up the new Vancouver office location.

Reporting to the Head of IT,
the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Part of a team prepping a new office space with appropriate technology requirements.
Installation and configuration of software, hardware and any other required technology tools for artists both in the studio and for remote working
Providing first line support responding to IT tickets raised by artists and other members of the team.
Setting up accounts for new starters and closing accounts for leavers.
Ensuring kit is prepped for new starters in a timely manner
Complete appropriate paperwork to log and process equipment loaned out to new starters and managing the return of equipment for leavers.

Qualifications and requirements:

Desired Associate/Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field
Experience within VFX or related industry is a plus, but not required
1+ year of IT Support, network administration or system administration experience
Proficient knowledge and experience with Windows 10, 365, MS Office Shop and basic ticketing systems
Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery
Excellent problemsolving skills, PC/OS/Software troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with Windows/Linux Server environments
Ability to use and manage Office 365, Mimecast, phishing protection, Sophos Anti-Virus, etc.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A desire to help others, outstanding attention to service and creating a positive experience
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Self Starter and a Problem solver
