(MSII) currently has a position available for an experienced leader of our Insurance New Business and Inforce Case Coordination team.


Reporting to the Director of Distributor Services, the Manager will be responsible for leading a team of Case Coordinators and Support staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive work environment.


Key Accountabilities

  • Oversees workflow and department operations to ensure service levels and quality targets are delivering to our commitments and achieving overall cycle time objectives.
  • Provide leadership and support to maintain a high level of staff performance through training & development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Provide functional direction to a team of 8 Case Coordinators, 2 Support staff and 2 Support Specialists.
  • Ability to identify performance gaps at both the individual and team level and develop remediation plans to close them
  • Proven ability to manage relationships, negotiate and influence decisions
  • Commitment to achieving high levels of service excellence and ability to work independently and/or within a team
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and practices
  • Responsible for the auditing and monitoring of processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure that processes are effective and efficient with a focus on continuous improvement and implementation of solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with advisors, carriers and internal business partners
  • Establish a process for tracking and reporting of key measurements
  • Ensure that the team is adhering to Privacy and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Ability to support the evolving needs of the business, responds to changes within the industry, and contributes to the introduction of new processes that impact the team's internal and external audiences.

Qualifications:


  • Proven operational leader, with experience in employee development, performance management and teambuilding.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills including prioritization, influencing, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem solving and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills and sound business judgement.
  • Proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong multitasking skills and exceptional ability to align the employees with the vision and mission of the company.
  • Knowledge of individual insurance, insurance terminology and products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The team provides service in both French and English, therefore French language would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working with Wealthserv would be considered an asset
  • Managing General Agent (MGA) backoffice experience would be considered an asset
