What you will do
You will be responsible for the Overall Equipment Maintenance Program for Johnson Controls Data Center Solutions group (Silent-Aire).

You will supervise and manager various stakeholders to ensure that all equipment in the region is maintained and in good working condition.


How you will do it

  • Supervise a dynamic team to ensure all equipment is running and in good working condition. Equipment includes welding machines, turrets, press brakes, paint systems, automation equipment, lasers, waterjets, etc.
  • Make sure clear direction and scheduling is given to team members daily and that work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Report to leadership on overall status of programs and departmental objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to organizational policy for promotions, filling new positions, upgrading existing positions, and processing the annual salary reviews.
  • Provide handson assistance with maintenance team support as needed.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, etc. for the maintenance team.
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance (PM) Programs are being implemented and followed.
  • Work with key stakeholders to plan and execute on new equipment designs, installation, and startup services.
  • Adhere to assembly and installation instructions set forth in vendor manuals.
  • Identify and correct problems found in machines, equipment, or processes in order to facilitate production.
  • Assist with repair to machinery components.
  • Ensure asset data is updated regularly.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire/JCI safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Help manage new hire onboarding and training.
  • Pricing and contract negotiation for optimal pricing and service.
  • Other duties as required.

What we look for

Required:


  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Computer literacy, proficient in Microsoft Office like Teams, Outlook, and Excel
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to learn and work on a variety of metal working machinery and other plant equipment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize based on urgency
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Good organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Work is performed in an industrial environment but primarily outdoors in all weather conditions; may have combinations of walking, standing, or sitting throughout the day
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Exercise caution, as the environment presents many naturally occurring hazards.
  • Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment)
  • Overtime and oncall hours (outside standard operation schedule) as required

Preferred:


  • Trade school/Diploma millwright or electrician programs
  • Automation experience
