    SUMMARY – Maintenance Support Manager

    Shift: Monday to Friday

    The TransX Group of Companies has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Support Manager to join the Maintenance and Procurement team in our Winnipeg head office. Reporting to the Director of, the Maintenance Program, the Maintenance Support Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective support of internal Maintenance and Operations clients, specifically in the areas of maintenance systems and service offering support. This role involves extensive daily collaboration with the Supply Chain Manager and Quality Systems Manager to drive cross-functional objectives including maintenance best practice recommendations; equipment lifecycle and specification establishment; and repair development, standardization, and control systems across the network.

    KEY ACTIVITIES

    Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance Systems & Analytics, managing network-level systems and processes for the division
  • Planning & Scheduling Management
  • Maintenance Services Support
  • Warranty Program Management
  • Vendor Relationship Management
  • Staying updated on industry and system changes
  • SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

    Education

  • Related post-secondary education in business administration or project management is an asset.
  • Experience

  • 5 to 10 years of shop management or related leadership experience
  • Experience working across functions or divisions in a team environment and with financial budgets
  • Strong communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills with openness to regular travel
  • Experience managing workloads with multiple parallel workstreams
  • Computer proficient in a variety of software applications (MS Office, MS Project, TMW proprietary engine and component software programs, etc.).
  • Strong Time Management skills
  • ERP and MRP system knowledge would be an asset.
  • Knowledge within the transportation industry – Preferred
