The Control Valve Operations Supervisor is responsible for the quality of customer deliverables through the team of technicians under their supervision. They ensure the team operates efficiently while complying with health and safety (HSE), quality, and environmental standards, and that established procedures are followed within a continuous improvement framework. They also perform any other related duties required by the position.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Ensure the quality of client deliverables by leading a team of control valve technicians.
Ensure the team operates efficiently while complying with health and safety (HSE), quality, and environmental standards, within a continuous improvement mindset.
Work closely with the Director, Safety Valve Supervisor, internal and external sales teams, Asset Managers, Planner, Shutdown Manager, and customers to meet all stakeholder needs.
Plan, organize, coordinate, and supervise shop and field technicians across Kirkland, Saguenay, and future sites.
Implement and ensure adherence to required quality standards for all mandates.
In collaboration with planning, assess current and future workload to forecast resource utilization and hiring needs.
Participate in recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new employees.
Approve time and expense submissions for team members.
Assess tooling and personal protective equipment (PPE) needs to ensure safe execution of work.
Ensure Laurentide Controls' health and safety policies and other corporate policies are understood and properly applied.
Manage vacation and leave schedules to maintain adequate service levels.
Implement and follow up on employee performance reviews.
Support and develop competency plans for technicians.
Identify and develop future leaders and plan succession to maintain sufficient senior expertise.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

Experience managing personnel (an asset).
Experience in control valve repair services.

Bilingualism in English and French, spoken and written (an asset)
