Royal Inland Hospital (RIH), located in Kamloops, B.C., has an immediate relief, part-time (0.81 FTE) Staff Anesthesia Assistant opening. This position is to provide coverage until July 2024, or return of incumbent.

Effective April 2024 hourly rates of pay $42.27 to $52.81. Recognition of previous experience in determining starting salary.

RIH is a 273-inpatient bed, tertiary referral hospital offering high-level, specialty medical care including core physician specialties, 24 emergency and trauma services, ambulatory and outpatient clinics, and diagnostic services.

The RIH Department of Anaesthesiology provides Anaesthesia Care for General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Vascular Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Urology, as well as managing multiple trauma cases for pediatric and adult patients.

The group is home to six highly qualified Staff Anesthesia Assistants.

Staff Anesthesia Assistants play a crucial part in performing technical duties related to anesthesia such as testing, preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies.

Operating within a client-centered approach and as an essential member of our interdisciplinary team, you make a substantial contribution to assisting Anesthesiologists with the induction, maintenance and recovery phases of anesthesia.

Days of work are rotating:
06:00 to 14:00, 07:00 to 15:00, 09:30 to 17:30. On-call is associated with this position.
