  • Full G class license and clear driver's abstract (must be presented upon hire; no tickets, penalties, or demerits)
- the capacity to lift 50 lbs. without assistance

  • Powerful communication abilities
  • Able to acquire knowledge of and understanding of proper traffic laws, policies, and procedures
  • Able to perform outside work in any weather
  • Capable of standing for a long time
  • Able to control a stop/slow paddle with one hand
  • Able to focus for extended amounts of time in a hectic environment at ease working in active traffic
  • Dedication to safety and health
  • Possess a smartphone to send and receive texts and communicate with coworkers.
  • Flexible start/end hours, days, nights, and weekends for shifts
  • Able to work overtime as needed.

Working Conditions:


  • Work outdoors and in a variety of weather conditions
  • Periods of standing or sitting during the roadway closure
  • Hours of work and work assignments may vary for operational reasons
