    Position: Carpenter Apprentice / Journeyperson - Kearl

    Project Type: Kearl Lake MSF South

    Project Location: Fort McMurray

    Shift: 14/7

    Accommodations: Camp

    Travel Details:Fly to and from site

    JOURNEYPERSON and APPRENTICE CARPENTER REQUIRED:

    Journeyperson Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build forms for concrete
  • Cut, shape and join
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Checks accuracy of works and makes adjustments as required
  • Studies blueprints for work planning
  • Constructs and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
  • Acts as a work leader and mentors to apprentice carpenters
  • Informs immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and takes pride of ownership.
  • CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fall Pro Required ESC OSSA (in-class only)
  • Experience with ESC AWP / EWP is an asset.
