    CBI Health Group is hiring Community Support Workers (CSW) in Regina to support individuals living with disabilities to live their best life. Using a Person-Centered mindset, CSW's provide the right support, at the right time to assist people in their home and in their community to lead rich and meaningful lives.

    Your role

  • Contribute, review and implement person-centered plans designed to support and assist adults, in achieving their personal goals
  • Collaborate with other staff to facilitate meaningful, high quality community connections, personal development and recreation opportunities.
  • Encourage and support individual independence, choice, and self-expression in the areas of self care, communication, recreation, socialization and participation.
  • Act as a role model while encouraging and assisting the individual to participate in the daily activities and responsibilities of their personal life and their home
  • Support residents to participate and engage in the community through leisure activities, and fostering social networks that align with the individual's interests and person centered plan
  • Establish and maintain rapport with residents and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Keep accurate records and complete necessary documentation requirements, including but not limited to Person Centered Plan updates, daily logs and incident reports.

    What you will need to be successful

  • Post secondary education and/or experience in Human Services and/or disability support with preference given to individuals with a background in Person Centered concepts.
  • A positive attitude and belief that persons with disabilities have the right and responsibility to define and pursue their life choices and pursue active participation and involvement in the community.
  • Preference to individuals that have certification in PART, Food Safety, TLR, Medication Administration.
  • A satisfactory Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Search

  • Must have a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License and use of a reliable vehicle, including $2,000,000 liability insurance.
  • The ability to work 12 hour shifts.

    Please note: Supports are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Shift work is required to include both Saturdays and Sundays.
