    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    ·Use observation during maintenance inspections and repairs to ensure employees use safe practices when operating equipment.

    ·Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.

    ·Adjusting, doing inspections, and keeping records of work that has been completed.

    ·Reading blueprints / schematics and equipment manuals, using inspection and repair schedules, rebuilding broken machines and training staff members on proper use of equipment.

    ·Assemble, dismantle, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.

    ·Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.

    ·Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.

    ·Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

    ·Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.

    ·Servicing, repairing, calibrating, regulating, fine-tuning, or testing machines, devices, and equipment that operate primarily based on electrical or electronic (not mechanical) principles.

    ·Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationship, developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.

    ·Adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE ·You will be responsible for developing (if you do not already possess it) an understanding of all our equipment to ensure it daily operation and minimize downtime.

    SKILLS REQUIRED

    ·Attention to Detail -Job requires being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

    ·Adaptability/Flexibility- Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace.

    ·The successful candidate will also have the ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on HVAC equipment.

    ·Certificates, licenses of Forklift License, Overhead Crane, WHMIS, Emergency Procedures and Evacuation, PPE is added advantage.

    ·Able to communicate with all workers regardless of barriers and be able to communicate in written and spoken English.

    ·Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.

    ·Must possess above average math skills and be able to utilize a tape measure efficiently and be able to visualize calculations.

    ·Ability to read mechanical, electrical and control drawings; knowledge of building automation systems, life safety systems, electrical systems and HVAC including boilers, chillers, pumps, motors, heat exchanger, AHU etc.

    ·Ability to work effectively under pressure and against strict time constraints.
