With a dedication to excellence and innovation, we are seeking an SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) Technician to join our team.


As an SCBA Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing self-contained breathing apparatus equipment used in various industries including firefighting, and emergency response.

Your responsibilities will include inspecting, testing, repairing, and maintaining SCBA equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and optimal performance in emergency situations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct routine inspections and functional tests on SCBA equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and longevity of SCBA units.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with SCBA equipment, and perform necessary repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance and service history.
  • Coordinate with clients to schedule maintenance appointments and respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, safety standards, and regulations related to SCBA equipment.
  • Complete and submit all required paperwork to support staff in a timely manner, including timesheets/calendars and work orders.
  • Complete Certification as an SCBA technician or equivalent training provided.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience working with SCBA equipment or similar respiratory protection systems is an asset but
    will train the right person.
  • Strong technical aptitude and proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electronic components.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety standards and regulations, such as NFPA 1981 and OSHA respiratory protection standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

    $48,000.0$52,000.00 annually.
