Used Vehicle Manager play a key role in positioning AutoCanada as a Premiere Destination for Pre-Owned vehicles across Canada.


Your Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate and acquire vehicles at highvolume daily from online auctions, fleet providers and through dealerships.
  • Manage inventory of vehicles purchased for resale.
  • Review inventory daily to ensure the proper mix and drive intelligent purchasing decisions.
  • Analyze inventory profitability, sales volume, and new sources of vehicle supply.
  • Monitor wholesale trends in the automotive market in Canada.
  • Provide the leadership team with accurate reporting on trends, purchase and gross profits.
  • Maintain accurate daily, weekly, monthly and on demand reporting that reflects activities associated with the wholesale buying program.
  • Assist in meeting goals and objectives for the company including meeting targets related to vehicles purchased and achieving gross profit margins for vehicles acquired.
  • Make financially sound purchasing decisions for the company.
  • Travels as needed to attend buying events including weekly auctions, if deemed necessary.
  • Inspecting vehicle conditions, damage reports and accident history to strengthen buying decisions.
  • Maintain accurate daily/weekly/monthly & on demand reporting that reflects activities associated with wholesale buying

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of complex data.
  • Processoriented; superior attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player who is selfmotivated and work independently as required.
  • Excellent skills in Excel
  • Able to quickly adapt to new technologies deployed by the department and across the company.
  • Sound, practical business judgment, and a problemsolving, client focused, results oriented approach.
  • Enthusiasm for the Automotive industry.
  • Knowledge of and a desire to learn the federal, provincial, and local laws that govern both wholesale and retail automobile sales and ensures that wholesale program is compliant.
  • Resultsdriven and career focused individual with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to be successful.
  • Valid Driver's License and a safe driving record.
