Responsibilities include the orchestration of all the activities related to both service and capital type project execution.
You will manage projects through initiation, design, procurement, manufacturing, installation and start-up to ensure that our customer's highest performance expectations are met, and our Company's objectives are achieved.
Assigned project types will be associated with the pulp and paper industry and include paper mill industrial air systems and equipment, paper machine runnability systems, area dust control systems, and possibly machine steam and condensate systems and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong people skills, including the ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers through challenging projects and delivery schedules.
- Experience with computer software typical of a Project Manager's responsibility (i.e. MS Office suite, MS Project, CAD systems, etc. or similar project management software as required).
- Computer literate and ready to use MS TEAMS and SharePoint in daily tasks. You must be able to learn and become proficient at new computer systems and software as necessary.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for financial management of projects. Note that specific user training will be provided on the applicable software, but you must have sound financial management skills related to costs control and financial reporting.
- Capacity to work independently and are capable of selflearning. Have a track record of delivering projects within expected timelines and budgets. Have proven ability to perform project risk management, can mitigate towards solutions and have the ability to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Pulp & Paper Industry experience and knowledge of papermaking process and products will be considered as an asset.
This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 20% in North America (within Canada, the United States and Mexico) and very occasionally to Finland, Sweden, Italy.
