About the role:


OLIVER is hiring a Digital Content Strategist to be a part of Unilever Canada's Digital Media, Content and Commerce team You will be embedded as a critical team member into the day to day operations of the team's organization, supporting some of Canada's most loved brands.


What you will be doing:


  • Overall_
  • Develop and manage the execution of a strong SEO content and user experience strategy
  • Ensure delivery of engaging content in a consistent voice best suited for the brand image and target audience for Beauty and Wellbeing teams' Editorial partnerships
  • Monitor and deliver Consumer Excellence KPIs with a focus on achieving audience engagement targets
  • Work closely with the eContent Lead and Brand teams to develop strong editorial concepts for brand integration programs with media partners
  • Contribute to the requirements of the product roadmap and perform regular site User Experience analysis to optimize engagement and ensure quality assurance
  • Contribute to Beauty Personal Care editorial content strategy across digital platforms (newsletters, lifecycle marketing, website personalization, voice, etc)
  • Perform regular analysis of site experience and report on relevant emerging industry trends
  • Content Marketing Program Leadership (40%)_
  • Develop, implement, and optimize global and local SEO content initiatives to effectively engage audiences and build brand affinity
  • Lead the management of the content planning, creation, and syndication of the Beauty that Cares Editorial program
  • Collaborate with marketing program owners, content strategists and/or campaign managers to integrate and repurpose content marketing and campaign content where appropriate
  • Web Experience Excellence (40%):_
  • Leverage existing content and develop new content for campaigns and engagement initiatives for owned, earned and paid media across our customer experience journey
  • Work with development team to develop a content repository and tagging schema to support dynamic content, ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code, and recommend changes to website UX updates (architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords)
  • A/B Testing Roadmap (20%):_
  • Own A/B testing as an ongoing discipline to constantly improve campaign results across various digital marketing channels with heavy focus on website optimization, personalization, and content syndication across CRM/social
  • Identify unique ways to extend brand ability to leverage assets, and identifying actionable insights via site analytics
  • Produce and present A/B testing results with recommendations on the implications of the findings

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Journalism degree or 2+ years experience as a Website content producer
  • 3+ years of experience in UX/SEO strategy and/or optimization for a website or agency
  • Strong writing, editing, and communications skills
  • Strong analytics skills
  • Familiarity with Adobe Target, Google Analytics, and SEO research tools
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Experience building backlinks
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Proven ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of customer needs, using that insight to help guide content development
