We have a new opportunity for a Pavement & Geotechnical Technician to join our PAVEMENT & Geotechnical Engineering team based in Whitby, Ontario.

A day in the life:

Carrying out fieldwork including pavement investigations, site reconnaissance, borehole drilling, asphalt and concrete coring;
Scheduling laboratory testing;
Carrying out local field and office assignments related to pavement engineering;
Assisting in coordinating and performing pavement engineering field investigations;
Working with and providing support to other members of the field technician team;
Assisting with the preparation of engineering documents including reports, drawings and figures;
Demonstrating a "Safety First" focus and acting as a role model to other staff;
Complete data entry and analysis of field investigations and laboratory results;
Compile engineering reports;
Traveling to complete field investigations within Ontario for short periods of time.

What you'll bring to WSP
:

College Diploma in a Geotechnical / Civil Engineering program, preferably with a focus on Geotechnical / Pavement Engineering;
Demonstrated analytical skills using Excel;
Previous experience working as a geotechnical technician;
Handson skills, troubleshooting equipment repairs;
Knowledge of drilling and coring procedures is an asset;
A vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage and hold a valid driver's license.
