TULLOCH is seeking an
OACETT Certified, Road Construction Junior Inspector(rcji) to work as part of the Independent Quality Assurance Team for Highway Work on the Ottawa Light Rail Transit, Confederation Line Extension Project.

The rcji will report to the Senior Inspector and Quality Assurance Manager for Highway Work and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on completing field and technical inspections on MTO roads and structures to ensure all infrastructure is constructed in accordance with plans and specifications.


What You'll Do:


The Junior Inspector will:

  • Complete field inspections including independently performing a broad range of technical inspections in accordance with established standards and regulations
  • Conduct inspections of methods and materials used by contractors, while ensuring conformity
  • Assess and analyze compliance with contract documents
  • Ensure environmental protection measures are installed and functioning
  • Accurately record inspection activities in Field Diary, provide continuous evaluation of construction progress, and provide reports to Contract Administrator on construction activity

Who You Are:


  • You hold the rcji (road construction junior inspector) certification with OACETT.
  • You can make decisions and exercise independent judgment within defined parameters and in alignment with business objectives
  • You are not afraid to raise your hand when you need help or guidance
  • You are trusted and provided freedom to work independently but also contribute to the overall team success
  • You are able to travel and be away from home for extended periods of time
  • You enjoy writing reports used by client

What You Should Bring:

  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to navigate confidential matters and manage sensitive data
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Valid Class G driver's licence
