Job Overview:
We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented Production Seamstresses to join our team. As a Production Seamstress, you will play a crucial role in the mass production of high-quality garments.
You will be responsible for operating sewing machines, following patterns, and ensuring the accurate assembly of garments according to design specifications.
Responsibilities:
1.
Sewing:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to assemble garments based on provided patterns and instructions.
- Ensure the accurate alignment of fabric pieces, patterns, and seams during the sewing process.
2.
Quality Assurance:
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished garments to ensure they meet established quality standards.
- Identify and address any sewing issues, such as uneven stitches or fabric irregularities.
3.
Production Targets:
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and achieve production goals.
4.
Material Handling:
- Handle and organize fabric and other materials efficiently to minimize waste and ensure proper utilization.
- Report any shortages or discrepancies in materials to the supervisor.
5.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Pattern Maker, Sample Machinists, and other production team members to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to address any issues or concerns.
6.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or concerns to the supervisor.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Production Seamstress in a manufacturing or apparel production setting.
- Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and sewing techniques.
- Attention to detail and precision in sewing to meet quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and meet production targets.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their handling requirements.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 years minimum of experience as a Production Seamstress in a fashion or apparel manufacturing environment.
