We are eagerly seeking a Crew Leader to join our Property Enhancement team, responsible for the efficient delivery of all property landscape enhancement services by assessing project sites, utilizing large and small construction equipment, reading design plans and sketches, and implementation of a variety of property enhancement projects.

As a Property Enhancement Crew Leader, you will receive a competitive hourly wage between $24-28 per hour based on your skills and experience.


Job Duties:


  • Execute landscape and enhancement projects consisting of hardscapes, softscapes, outdoor lighting, garden rejuvenation projects and lawn repair & installations
  • Operate and maintain trucks, trailers/floats, skidsteers, excavators, sod cutters, bush hogs, stone saws, tree stump grinders, and various other loadsecuring, hand and measuring tools
  • Prepare the work and schedule crews for weekly landscape enhancement projects, discussing daily plans with your crew
  • Be knowledgeable about each site work order, design plans and their specific details
  • Manage the entire scope of our projects, including job layout, materials, submitting required paperwork, managing hours and profitability of crew services
  • Oversees and ensures the quality of work and appearance of job sites to meet and exceed client and company standards
  • Actively coach, train, discipline, develop, and assist crews. Perform onsite training, ensure work is being performed to our clients' standards & company standards
  • Interacts with clients on site when needed, provides exceptional customer service in a polite and courteous manner
  • Identifying and reporting site issues and opportunities immediately to your manager to support our systems of quality and provide counsel for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times, ensures all health & safety requirements are followed and enforces compliance
  • Ensure safe practices are being followed by crew members at all times and conduct safety audits
  • Maintain safe work practices and procedures on each site
  • Leading by example all Company, Crew and Customer initiatives in Quality, Communication and Performance as it relates to representing and leading our brand in attitude and behaviour, safety, appearance (dress code), care of company fleet and equipment, always demonstrating good leadership skills
  • Fill out accurate and appropriate information on equipment, truck & trailer circle checks forms
  • Attends company tailgate and crew leader meetings
  • Winter snow operations of managing property sites, equipment operators and teams performing snow removal duties of plowing, walkway clearing and icemelting during the winter season, focusing on site inspections before, during and after snow events, ensuring the accurate reporting of all information required for the company LMN software operating system

Working Conditions:


  • Duties will primarily be outdoors and regularly exposed to varying weather conditions i.e. wet and/or humid conditions, hot and cold temperatures, snow and ice storms.
  • Physical demands include but may not be limited to standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
  • During the Spring/Summer/Fall Season; Occasional irregular hours due to the weather and/or unexpected circumstances
  • During the Winter Season; be actively involved during all snow events. This could be 24/7 across multiple days, including weekends and holidays

Qualifications:


  • A valid drivers license with clean drivers abstract
  • Desire to work in horticultural/landscape industry and seeking Horticultural / Landscape Certification an asset
  • Minimum 12 years experience in landscape installation
  • Minimum 12 years experience in landscape project management an asset
