Job Title:


Human Resources Assistant

Purpose of Role:


  • Provide support to the Human Resources team to ensure the effective operation of the Human Resources Department.

Qualifications:


  • A diploma or certificate in Human Resources or related field considered an asset
  • 12 years' previous experience in a related role
  • A positive approach with an interest in people and their diversity
  • Attention to detail, solid organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Professional and personable manner
  • Has a high degree of initiative with a proactive approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
  • Effective coordination skills, working with multiple people and schedules
  • Strong time management skills and timely delivery of work

Responsibilities:


  • Provides administrative support to the department
  • Maintains employee personnel files
  • Onboards new team members and continue to develop the firm's Onboarding Program
  • Prepares probationary review documents
  • Generates reports from the time and billing system
  • Maintains and updates Team Handbook and Orientation Manual
  • Assists with the implementation of core HR programs, initiatives, and other projects as necessary
  • Assists with the development of Health & Wellness initiatives
  • Actively supports, participates and organizes firm wide initiatives
  • Maintains team member's confidentiality
