Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, the Partner, Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning is accountable for developing, executing and managing standardized recruitment and selection across the College.
The incumbent will proactively source and assess best-in-class talent, hiring team members who can help us deliver an exceptional employee and learner experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting adoption and operationalization of a strategic workforce planning process to ensure schools / departments have the right talent, at the right time, with the right skills. Leveraging both internal and external data, the incumbent will support areas in analyzing workforce requirements to determine future staffing needs.
Required Qualifications:
- 3 year Diploma/Degree preferably in Human Resources, Business or Psychology; Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) required, CHRL is an asset; Additional professional qualification/certification in Human Resources Management, or in labour relations and talent acquisition is preferred; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Human Resources, including experience with the following: Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and Management, Working in a unionized environment, Employee Relations; At least two (2) years of experience within a complex multiunionized environment; Experience working directly with Managers on HR related matters, providing coaching, guidance and information when required; Demonstrated ability to adapt to different styles and to develop collaborative relationships with employees at all levels in the organization; Experience making recommendations to update HR policies, business processes, and procedures to support legislative and collective agreement changes; Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders to gain support for ideas and process changes; Strong written communication and presentation skills; Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, and Excel) and Human Resources Information Systems; Familiarity with HRIS tools that support recruitment and onboarding processes/activities; Knowledge and understanding of Talent Acquisition thought leadership, frameworks and processes and ability to coach others around best practices; Demonstrated business acumen by aligning initiatives to business requirements and understanding the business climate, constraints and drivers; Able to become proficient with new legislation, policies, directives, Collective Agreements quickly and support implementation of changes accurately while remaining aware of potential impacts on the College and its employees.
