Ancora Light Respite is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Community Respite Worker (RW).

As a Respite Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support to children with diverse abilities in a childcare community setting.

Location:
Toronto

Schedule:
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm + as needed.

Hourly Wage:
$21 per hour

Job Type:
Subcontract, part-time

Responsibilities:

Offer individualized support and care to children with diverse abilities in a childcare community environment.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and progress monitoring.
Work in coordination with the team to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child.
Engage the child in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development.

Qualifications:

Child & Youth Worker, Early Childhood Educator, or related field.
Knowledgeable about implementing positive behaviour management strategies.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in supporting children with diverse abilities and their families in a childcare community setting.
Experience working with children with special needs or in a classroom setting is preferred.
CPR / FIRST AID Certificate
Police & Vulnerable Sector Check
Medical Documentation (Public Health Requirements)
