Job description
Our client, a leading civil construction company specializing in infrastructure, highways, underground utilities, and shoring, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Langley, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full lifecycle of civil construction projects, with a focus on highways, infrastructure, and underground utilities.
- Direct project teams to ensure execution aligns with schedule, budget, safety, and quality targets.
- Identify and mitigate risks while maximizing opportunities to enhance project performance.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Oversee contract compliance, change management, procurement, and cost control.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development across multiple concurrent projects.
- Conduct regular site visits and maintain a strong presence in the field to support site teams.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear documentation and communication across all parties.
- Drive implementation of Health & Safety and Quality Management systems across projects.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
- 8+ years of project management experience in civil construction, with demonstrated success on highway or transportation infrastructure projects.
- Proven leadership managing complex scopes involving excavation, utilities and roads.
- Strong contract knowledge and experience managing project budgets and schedules.
- Proficient with project management software (e.g., HCSS, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
