Duties
The Shop Foreman maintains the qualifications and conducts the tasks necessary to:
- Performs repairs and services on all company assets at the shop or in the field
- Orders parts and supplies and maintains critical inventories
- Leads or assists in delegating work in the shop activities
- Responds to after hour equipment break downs
- Mentors shop hands or new workers while working in the shop
- Promotes a safe work culture and leads by example
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5 years relevant experience
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to bend, reach, twist, and reach overhead
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Must be detailoriented with excellent organizational skills
- Must have good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Must have the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Must have a clean valid class 5 Drivers License
- Ability to pass a preemployment drug and alcohol test
- Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
- Some travel required
Assets
- Class 3 Drivers License
- Journeyman HD Mechanic
- Welding/Fabricating
Schedule:
Monday - Friday - plus occasional overtime
Work Location:
One location - occasional travel to site required
Pay:
$35.00-$45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Red Deer, AB T4E 1B4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Mechanic: 5 years (preferred)
- Welding: 1 year (preferred)
- Oil & gas: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
