Operator- Specialty Services
These services range over a vast spectrum of support we provide to our clients directly, their customers and stakeholders nationally, and members of public.
The Operator is responsible for carrying Property Management services, Client specific programs and Alarm Dispatching from our 24/7 Operations Centre.
This is primarily achieved through facilitating effectively dispatching and reporting on alarm notifications, following step-by-step procedures mutually agreed upon between Paladin Security and our contractual clients.
These services range but are not limited to Property Management, Parking Services, Corporate Security and Alarm Dispatch.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Acts as an extension of Paladin Security and a member of our client's team by using the appropriate greeting when answering a call
- Follows the process and workflow as formulated by Paladin Management and the client for property management services
- Coordinate the implementation of repairs and maintenance carried out on buildings
- Ensure that trouble calls received from clients or tenants are acted upon
- Establish work priorities, pass all pertinent information regarding client properties to relief, and ensure deadline are met and procedures are followed8.Making on the spot decisions as to whether the tenant's request is an emergency or nonemergency and escalate to the oncall technician as communicated by the client
- Effectively communicates occurrences to external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Ensures that each call has been answered with the highest level of customer service
- Receives all alarms for the Lower Mainland from our Alarm Monitoring department at Paladin Technologies, and dispatches them in a timely manner to our Lower Mainland Mobile units
- Ensures each entry into FileMaker is logged accurately and closes the dispatch off when attendance and resolutions have been verified
- Communicates with client employees, creating reports regarding threats made towards staff and forwards them to an investigator in the client team
- Actively monitor security system alarms (i.e., access control, intrusion, panic, video surveillance) and respond/acknowledge as per Standard Operating Procedure
- Photo ID and access card administration
- Communicate with Guards using established processes and equipment
- Maintain a detailed operator shift log
- Complete and prioritize / categorize (i.e., emergency / nonemergency) Security Systems Service Request (3SRs) for guards, Service, and maintenance (including any software deficiencies)
- Virtual Patrol / Investigation and reporting / escalation.
- Perform connectivity tests with sensors, cameras, and control panes to determine system functionality and perform preliminary troubleshooting
- Complete audits of security equipment inventory and perform status checks
- Report writing and incident documentation
- Performs other duties as requested to assist with Paladin needs
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent computer skills with fast and accurate typing (greater than 50 WPM with no errors)
- Commitment to professionalism and excellence in customer service; Effective verbal and written communication
- Ability to function effectively in a fastpaced and stressful environment
