The Role:


The Human Resources Administrator will provide a variety of administrative support to facilitate the effective delivery of human resources services to employees.

The Administrator is responsible for administrative tasks and activities related to on-boarding, off-boarding, training administration, benefits administration and other employee services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partnering with and supporting our HR department with daytoday HR administration and improving the employee lifecycle
  • Supporting and assisting with employee documentation, assisting with general HR questions and supporting system troubleshooting.
  • Coordinating and executing the onboarding process; this involves submitting and processing documentation, creating new employee files, coordinating orientation, and supporting training efforts.
  • Following the offboarding process when required, including updating key stakeholders and actioning the offboarding workflow.
  • Collaborating and participating in improvement efforts to the employee experience.
  • Drafting employee letters, agreements and other documentation.
  • Maintain employee documents and files in ADP and maintain the HR SharePoint library.
  • Proactively identifying improvement opportunities within HR systems and processes.
  • File management, including the creation, upkeep and assisting stakeholders with file access. Managing terminated files and offsite storage within Iron Mountain file system for employees no longer employed by the organization.
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail and courier requirements for the department. May be called on to support other departments as needed within this role.
  • Sending employee communication which includes new hire announcements, promotions, staffing announcements, etc.
  • Administer invoice payment and tracking of invoices, including vendor set up.
  • Ad Hoc project work as needed.

You will bring:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Business Administration or Human Resources; or in progress.
  • Minimum 12 years of HR Administration experience or combination of both education and experience would be considered.
  • Proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), previous experience with HRIS systems an asset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Excellent initiative, combined with planning, analytical and decisionmaking skill.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
