Job Description:


Reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Development, the Internal Audit Manager's underlying responsibility will be to build out an internal audit framework across the organization.

This newly created position will be responsible for gaining an understanding of the entire logistics and supply chain lifecycle to identify risk areas and inefficiencies and provide recommendations for improvements.

The individual will assess existing processes and controls, perform audits, and report back on findings and proposed solutions.


General Tasks

  • Create internal audit framework.
  • Review existing processes across the organization to identify inefficiencies and risks.
  • Propose improvements.
  • Assist with documentation and implementation of new processes and controls.
  • Perform internal audit sample testing and report on findings.
  • Review internal audit report from Geneva Headquarter.
  • Coordinate with Geneva on findings and implementation of recommendations.
  • Assist with annual ISO compliance reporting.
  • Assist with annual Environment, Social, and Governance ("ESG") reporting.

Qualifications:

This position requires a strategic, and analytical mindset who can demonstrate the following characteristics:

  • 7+ years of similar or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent ability to analyze and problem solve using creative outofthebox thinking.
  • Ability to multitask: Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to identify control and process weaknesses and propose viable solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: Able to communicate in a concise and professional manner, using correct grammar and proper syntax.
  • Organizational Skills: Able to manage the workload, to prioritize, and to manage their time effectively, ensuring a seamless and frictionless process, approaching problems logically and with professional judgment.
  • Followup skills: Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and promptness as well as consistency in following up unresolved issues.
  • Attention to detail with excellent time management skills, particularly under pressure: Is able to maintain both the quality and the productivity standards, ensuring accuracy, correctness and speed are maintained, when deadlines are tight, and the pressure is on.
  • Experience in shipping, transportation and/or logistics industry (not required, but an asset).
  • Technologically savvy, with the ability to familiarize themselves with other computer software such as Power BI, SAP, etc. (not required, but an asset).
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, specifically with Excel (not required, but an asset).
  • CPA or CIA designation (not required, but an asset).
