Position Overview


Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Crew Lead is responsible to work safely while constructing and completing repairs for fences and fence gates, using hand and power tools.

This position will also complete snow removal tasks in the winter such as operating a sweeper, skid steer, plow truck, back pack blower and various other tools.

This is position is full time with a guarantee of 35 hours per week minimum even if you do not work.

The hours do vary depending if you are doing snow removal or fencing. Snow removal does require an early start and typically is a 10-12 hour shift.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Dig post holes and mix cement for installation
  • Install the main posts, fence rail, panels/pickets
  • Installing ornamental steel, and wood fences
  • Shoveling, digging, and setting post holes
  • Lifting heavy objects and materials such as cement bags, pipe, lumber
  • Operate power tools
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with management and the general public

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Performing General Physical Activities: performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Handling and

Moving Objects:
using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials

  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material: inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • Performing for or Working Directly with the Public: performing for people or dealing directly with the public. This includes serving customers in restaurants and stores and receiving clients or guests
  • Repairing Material Product: repairing, adjusting, and replacing damaged product

Education & Training:


  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Class 5 Drivers License and clean drivers abstract are required
  • Fence, carpentry and/or construction experience is an asset
  • Detailorientated, motivated by getting things done right the first time
  • Dedicated and work hard to achieve quality results and be willing to do the job according to company standards
  • Communication and customer service skills

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$26.00-$30.00 per hour

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • Night shift
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:
