What you will do.

  • Provide up to date information and resources necessary to support job search, training options and selfemployment
  • Complete clients' intake and appointment scheduling
  • Check clients' eligibility and suitability assessment
  • Provide direction and guidance to users of the Centre; assess client's need for more structured assistance
  • Resume help and resume critique
  • Interview coaching and preparation
  • Provide job search & other related information and coaching
  • Refer client to service providers in the community as appropriate
  • Develop and facilitate employment workshops
  • Keep statistics regarding the usage of the resources and client ability to use the centre
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Accurately track monthly statistics for the purpose of tracking budgets and monitoring of program outcomes
  • Learn and follow Ministry guidelines
  • Adheres to all YMCA of Three Rivers policies and procedures and ensures confidentially is maintained on client, personnel, financial and organizational matters;
  • Represent YMCA of Three Rivers at all times in a professional manner;
  • Work cooperatively with other team members;
  • Carry out any other duties, as required

What you will bring.
years related experience

  • Post-Secondary Education in a related field
  • Ability to work in a performancebased program with a proven track record of meeting targets and deadlines
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong timemanagement skills and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of general Employment Ontario Employment services and the target groups served
  • You are committed to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs.
  • You have welldeveloped interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with fellow employees, clients, and community partners.
