We are seeking a full time, energetic, detail orientated and flexible person to join our International Programs team in the position of Office Manager.


Reporting to the International Programs Director, the Office Manager is responsible for assisting the Director and Vice Principal in charge of the International Programs.

The Office Manager will interface with the District Finance Department on reporting financial data and will have specific responsibilities in the areas of accounting, budget preparation and control, purchasing and contracted services.

The Office Manager will provide account analysis, forecasting, and financial statement preparation for the Secretary Treasurer or designate.


THE POSITION
As a key member of the International Program's team, this position is responsible for:
Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable for International Programs, or equivalent experience/education

Performing detailed analysis of accounts and prepares projections of revenue for developing both short and long-term program contracts.

Conducting cost benefit analysis and determines profit margins and prepares expense cost breakdowns

Supervision of office support staff as directed by the Director by:
Being responsible for staff training, planning, monitoring, and assessing results

Acting in a supervisory capacity for support staff when the Director is absent

Participating in decision-making related to the deployment of support personnel resources for International Programs

Maintaining good communication with agents concerning financial and administrative matters related to International Programs.

Managing Short Term programs including marketing, budgets, securing resource, venue booking, and contracted services.

Providing miscellaneous student support as required (such as working with students to complete renewal forms, school registration and related forms, and assist with information concerning payment processes for students' fees)

Works flexible hours in the evenings and on weekends as required as well as maintaining regular office hours.


Required Education and Experience:

A university degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration

Demonstrated management experience, preferably in a unionized environment

Ability to work in diverse cultures and locations

Ability to analyze, interpret and use judgment in the resolution of problems.

Fluency in additional languages specific to the West Vancouver's International Programs community to provide first-language support for students and parents

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to travel overseas, sometimes on short notice

Proven ability to use judgment and tact in providing or conveying sensitive information between clients and staff

Self-starter with ability to organize tasks and to work independently and as a member of a team

Proven ability to inspire trust and confidence in working with members of the community

Valid BC Class 5 Drivers License, with business use of personal vehicle

Or an equivalent combination of experience and education
