House Manager/nanny for Busy, Professional Family - Vancouver, Canada - Thompson Family

We are a family of four, with 2 daughters aged 8 and 10 with a busy household needing the right person to help us manage.

Both my husband and I have demanding jobs so we need a trusted partner in managing the daily details and logistics - from meals and groceries to driving the kids and overseeing daily learning.

For the past 6 years we have had the most incredible nanny but as she recently started her own family and is moving onto the next chapter of her life.

We're looking for someone to fill the the wonderful role she's played in our lives.

We look for not only the right skillset (eg. driving, care experience, attention to details, proactive, punctual) but the right fit in personalities between you and us.


What we are looking for:

• Ideally someone that loves running a family household and all the details of that from managing meals, groceries, school lunches to organizing and tidying to picking up the girls from school and engaging them in learning projects after school.
• Someone that is on top of all the things and can work with us in managing the household as a partner.
• Driving the children to and from school, activities, and appointments (we can provide a car if necessary)
• Helping with homework, reading, and educational games
• Preparing meals and snacks for the children
• Supervising and engaging the children in indoor and outdoor play
• Maintaining a tidy and organized home
• Assisting with occasional evening routines
• Performing light housekeeping and laundry related to the children and keeping the household organized
• Following our parenting style and values
• Communicating regularly with us about the children's progress and needs
• A genuine love and respect for children
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with children of similar ages
• Relevant certifications, such as CPR, First Aid, or Child Development
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• A background check and references
• Flexible and positive attitude
• A willingness to feel part of a family
