Gateway Church, a vibrant and growing church of 700 in Caledonia, ON.

Our church began in 1992 and has been led by our Senior Pastor, Steve Kerr since 1999. We have life-giving ministry impact throughout the Haldimand and Hamilton regions.

Our current dedicated and healthy staff team includes 13 people, both full and part time. Our team is passionate about serving together as we encourage and equip people to follow Jesus in community.

We are pursuing "Following Jesus Together".

To that end, we are dedicated to engaging people to help them take their next steps in their journey with Jesus, through the local church as well as church planting and missions.

Gateway is a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada.


THE GATEWAY STORY
In 1992 God called four families to birth the vision for what is now
Gateway Church. Initially they began meeting in their homes and sharing the love of Jesus with those in their community.

Soon friends and neighbours joined them. The "Caledonia Children's
Christmas Musical" was launched and 250 people filled the auditorium at a local school. This has continued to be part of our ministry life with
1200 people attending last Christmas.

God has continued to bring new people, and grant us favour and unity.

As we have grown we have met in homes, community halls, schools and our own facility since 2006.

God blessed us with Steve and Christa Kerr coming to be our Lead
Pastor in 1999.

For nearly 25 years Steve has capably shepherded our people and leadership, preached faithfully and called us to greater acts of following in faith.

Today our building is full and our future is bright.

We have a plan to expand our facility on our 9 acres of property in response to the hundreds of homes being built adjacent to us.

We could never have envisioned the opportunity now before us when we moved here to the edge of town those many years ago.

The Lord did and He continues to amaze us with his goodness.

WELCOME TO CALEDONIA
Caledonia is a lovely scenic community located on the Grand
River. It combines natural beauty with small-town charm and urban convenience.

It is located in Haldimand County, on the western portion of the
Niagara Peninsula. It is just 30 km from the excitement of Hamilton, is adjacent to peaceful Cayuga and historic Brantford.

Built between the Seneca and Oneida villages, the community has a rich history.

It has great places for food and family fun. We are close to the beaches of Lake Erie for a summer getaway. On Thursdays you can enjoy all the offerings of the Caledonia Farmers Market.

Outdoor opportunities abound with a stroll along the Riverwalk Trail or paddling a kayak or canoe; it's hard to beat the beauty of the Grand
River.

Additionally, there is the Rotary Riverside Trail, the Gypsum Mine Tract
(where you'll find 12 scenic kilometers), and Kinsmen Park (home to a pool, picnic area, tennis courts, and more).

Schooling opportunities include excellent christian school options and a new school being built close to Gateway.

Caledonia is ideal for those who want to stay close to urban amenities.
It is less than an hour and a half from Toronto if you need a big-city experience.

We have easy access to the QEW and Highway 403, which means getting around is a breeze, no matter where you need to go.
