Who You Are:

As an experienced marketing professional, you are enthusiastic about designing, implementing, and optimizing marketing campaigns.

You will take ownership and accountability across a range of verticals, leveraging strong Marketing and creative skills to develop an overall plan for Morrissette Entrepreneurship Marketing and Communications and work with stakeholders to develop and execute an integrated communications & marketing strategy, with the goal of increasing awareness of Morrissette Entrepreneurship.


What You'll Do:


Develop & Execute Overall Marketing & Communications Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support Morrissette Entrepreneurship's overall objectives.
  • Collaborate with teams from across Western University to align marketing and communications efforts with overall goals and strategy.
  • Analyze industry trends to identify opportunities for growth and build awareness.
  • Define KPIs and regularly track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications initiatives.
  • Develop and manage budget to resource effectively to maximize impact of marketing activities.

Manage Morrissette Social Media Channels

  • Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms (including: Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter) ensuring it is onbrand, onmessage and alignment with the strategic plan.
  • Oversee the execution of a social media content calendar and schedule posts: goal is 5 posts per week on all four platforms.
  • Define, develop and track key performance metrics to monitor the success of the social media engagement and overall online impact.
  • Analyze social media metrics and provide weekly reports on performance.
  • Proactively identify social media trends and best practices
  • Collaborate with other team members to gather content and information for social media posts.
  • Engage with followers and build a strong online community growing the platforms by 10% each month.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns and budget.

Develop & Execute on Media Plans for Initiatives

  • Research and identify target media outlets and platforms relevant to each initiative.
  • Develop media plans outlining the objectives, target audience, messaging, and tactics for reaching the target audience.
  • Work directly with staff and/ or agency to secure media placements and coverage
  • Monitor and track media coverage and evaluate the effectiveness of media plans.
  • Adjust media plans as needed based on campaign performance and new opportunities.

Develop, Oversee & Execute on Annual Communication Calendar

  • Develop an annual Communication calendar that is aligns with unit goals and objectives that supports the overall strategy. The calendar will outline key communication activities, events and campaigns throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with internal team to identify and prioritize communication initiatives based on overall level of importance.
  • Ensure timely execution of communication activities according to the calendar.
  • Manage relationship with external agency's for design, copywriting, and or printing needs.
  • Collaborate with cross campus teams to gather and create content for communications materials.
  • Monitor and track the progress of communication initiatives and provide regular updates to Directors and Executive Director.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of communication activities and implement improvements.

Create Awareness Opportunities for Morrissette Entrepreneurship

  • Develop and implement strategies to create awareness and promote the Morrissette Entrepreneurship to target audiences.
  • Identify and leverage various marketing channels, both online and offline, to maximize impact and reach.
  • Work with Director External to develop partnerships with relevant organizations,
