SUMMARY


This is an exciting role for an experienced and innovative Board Certified Behaviour Analyst within the Extensive Needs Service (ENS) at Holland Bloorview.

This role involves both clinical and administrative leadership of the Extensive Needs Service Behaviour Therapy team.

You will provide practice guidance and support to Board Certified Behaviour Analysts and Behaviour Technicians within the ENS team.

With a commitment to trauma-informed care and through your knowledge of current and evolving best practices within the field of Behaviour Therapy, you will ensure that behaviour therapy service within ENS is client/family centered and delivered to the highest quality standards.

You will act a resource to the behaviour therapy team within ENS and provide group and individual practice coaching and mentorship.


In addition to clinical leadership, you will also work closely with the Clinical Operations Manager to provide administrative oversight and support.

This will include caseload assignment, development of BCBA/BT teams, and caseload capacity monitoring and waitlist management within the ENS Behaviour Therapy portfolio.


In addition, you will also work closely with the ENS Clinical Implementation Lead to promote Behaviour Therapy best practice with partner sites who will offer ENS within their own organization.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide practice guidance and support to Board Certified Behaviour Analysts and Behaviour Technicians within the ENS team
  • Maintain knowledge and experience in current best practices within the field of Behaviour Therapy
  • Assist in caseload assignment and management for behaviour therapy team
  • Act a resource to the behaviour team within ENS and provide group and individual practice coaching and mentorship
  • Work closely with ENS leadership to ensure practice standards and workload accountability of behaviour therapy team are consistently met
  • Oversee database development and data management for behaviour therapy caseload management.
  • Monitor serious adverse events and follow up on adverse events related to behaviour therapy practice (i.e. filling reports with REB, etc. ).
  • Assist in hiring and orientation of new behaviour therapy staff
  • Recommend appropriate behaviour therapy ongoing education for staff to ensure that all BT staff are practicing to the highest standards
  • Maintain familiarity with current literature, issues and trends of practice
  • Work closely with leadership to assist staff who require performance management support, e.g. learning plans.
  • Shares new knowledge and best practices with colleagues, students and other professionals within the organization, professional body and community
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment and advances a culture of client/patient safety through work and daily practices
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • A Master's Degree (or equivalent) in a field directly related to Behaviour Analytics
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst in good standing with the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board
  • Expert level knowledge and experience supporting children and youth with neurodevelopmental conditions, acquired brain injuries, and mental health conditions
  • Extensive clinical experience including a minimum of four years providing behaviour analytic services to children and youth with varying abilities who engage in interfering behaviours including aggression, selfinjury, property destruction, etc.
  • Past clinical supervisory experience considered a strong asset
  • Extensive experience providing parent coaching to implement behaviour analytic strategies across environments
  • Demonstrated indepth knowledge in practical functional analyses and skillbased treatment methods
  • Ability to supervise staff and students working towards their BCBA certification
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships
  • Ability to function independently yet collaboratively with ENS leadership team
