- Prepare tenders and quotations
- Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
- Conduct moisture, ph, temperature and other tests prior to flooring installations
- Estimate costs and materials
- Prepare floors for installations
- Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
- Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces
- Perform direct glue-down carpet installations
- Perform double-bond carpet installations
- Install outdoor carpets
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
- Provides physical accessibility accommodations (for example: ramps, elevators, etc.)
- Provides visual accessibility accommodations (for example: braille, screen readers, etc.)
- Provides auditory accessibility accommodations (for example: transcription software, teletypewriters, etc.)
- Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports persons with disabilities
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities
