This is a full-time, on-site position for a Field Supervisor based in Edmonton, AB. The Field Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations at the job site, ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly adhered to, and coordinating effectively with both team members and subcontractors. The successful candidate will be expected to oversee the progress of projects, making certain that they are delivered on schedule and within the allocated budget.

A Day in the Life

  • Conduct thorough building assessments to diagnose radon-related issues and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Travel to various job sites to design, install, and customize radon mitigation systems to meet specific site requirements.
  • Maintain strict compliance with industry regulations and internal company standards, ensuring that all work is executed with a high level of precision and quality.

Site Leader Position

Skills & Qualifications

Applicants must have at least three years of experience in relevant trades. Essential knowledge includes the installation of under slab vapour barriers (Radon Poly), foundation waterproofing, foundation insulation, and CFI board. A total of five years of experience in the construction industry is considered a significant asset for this role.

Strong mechanical skills are vital. Candidates should be comfortable with power tools and demonstrate mechanical aptitude across a range of construction environments.

A problem-solving approach is essential for this position. The Site Leader will be expected to handle installations, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and design effective solutions in real-time.

Strong diagnostic abilities are required to properly assess unique job site conditions and identify the most effective mitigation methods.

While a foundational understanding of air pressure, ventilation, and building science is helpful, full training will be provided to ensure all qualified candidates are well-prepared for the role.

Requirements & Responsibilities

A strong dedication to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to delivering work of the highest standard.

The ideal applicant will be capable of working independently, showing initiative and accountability, as well as collaborating and communicating effectively within a small, supportive team environment.

Successful candidates must pass a drug test and a criminal background check as part of the hiring process.

A clean driver's abstract for the past five years is required for this role.

Candidates must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and be able to pass a criminal background check.
