    Description
    We are seeking a skilled Splunk Engineer to join our clients Banking Center Team to assist in building a robust monitoring solution. As a Splunk Engineer, you will play a crucial role in customizing the Splunk platform, enhancing the observability and monitoring capabilities critical to the success of their banking operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Solution Design: Collaborate with the banking center team to design, customize and implement a comprehensive monitoring solution using Splunk Enterprise.
    • Deployment and Configuration: Deploy and configure Splunk instances to meet the specific needs of our banking operations. This includes setting up indexers, search heads, and forwarders as per best practices.
    • Log Management: Develop strategies for efficient log management and indexing within Splunk to ensure the timely retrieval and analysis of critical data.
    • Customization and Integration: Customize Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports to provide actionable insights into the health and performance of our banking systems. Integrate Splunk with other monitoring tools and platforms as required.
    • Troubleshooting and Optimization: Proactively identify and resolve issues within the Splunk environment. Optimize search queries, data inputs, and resource utilization to enhance performance and scalability.
    • Documentation and Training: Document configuration settings, processes, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to the banking center team to enable self-sufficiency in Splunk usage.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Splunk Engineer with a strong background in log management and monitoring solutions.
    • In-depth knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, including deployment, configuration, and administration.
    • Proficiency in developing Splunk queries, dashboards, and alerts to meet specific business requirements.
    • Familiarity with observability principles and best practices in monitoring distributed systems.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
    • Splunk certifications (e.g., Splunk Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Architect) are a plus.
    • Banking experience a plus
