The Role


Your Role and Key Responsibilities:


The security delivery support clients in managing their Security Operations and protecting their environments to mitigate security risks (e.g., insider and external threats, intentional and accidental).

Position is for an experienced security professional with demonstrated experience within Security Operations, Threat Detection & Response, Security Intelligence, CSM (Continuous Security Monitoring) and NSM (Network Security Monitoring) within the SOC operations environment.

The SOC Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the SOC analyst staff.

The role coordinates and works with the SOC Analysts to make sure that the analysts processes, and technology are meeting the SOC security monitoring, analysis, and escalation objectives, organization service level agreements, objectives, and metrics.

In addition, the Manager of SOC Security Analysts will:


  • Ensure daily operational processes effectively support SOC operations objectives.
  • Execute continuous process improvement.
  • Manage the process improvement program for SOC processes.
  • Ensure that all SOC personnel issues are being addressed.
  • Oversee Security Incident Manangement execution.
  • People management for SOC personnel.
  • Ensure analysts follow existing procedures and all procedures are documented in accordance with local guidelines.
  • Track tactical issues in execution of all SOC responsibilities.
  • Document and track analyst training requirements.
Who You Are

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • At least 5 years of experience in IT Security Management, minimum 2 years in SOC Manager role
  • Practical experience with Windows Active Directory and Unix administration
  • Practical experience with logs collection and monitoring, alert and correlation rules development and automation or routine tasks (syslog protocol, SIEM and monitoring systems such as qRadar, Splunk, Sentinel)
  • Experience with grep, regular expressions, SQL query, basic Python knowledge
  • Practical experience with DLP and time recording systems would be a plus.
  • Experience in setting rules based on behavioral analytics to implement fraud prevention approach.
  • Experience in implementing projects to build monitoring center start from the very beginning as a solo specialist and build a required processes and hire the team.
  • Experience in investigating information security incidents, collecting and storing logs for investigating incidents, identifying and eliminating the causes of incidents.
  • Knowledge of modern methods of classifying tactics and techniques of attackers, the main vectors of attacks, ways to detect and counter them.
  • Knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure security technologies (SIEM, DLP, vulnerability scanners, IDS / IPS, ME, Antiviruses, etc.)
  • Understanding of network technologies, typical IT architectures and features of information systems functioning.
Experience in cloud infrastructures and architectures

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Knowledge of industry adopted frameworks and methodologies (MITRE ATTCK, CIS, NIST-CSF, etc.)
  • CSIM, CISSP certification
