We're looking for our next Analyst, Data & Analytics. Could It Be You?

Under the direction of the AVP Finance, the Analyst, Data & Analytics will work with the Finance team, leveraging data to drive actionable insights, and create business value.

You will address and solve operational challenges, proactively identifying areas of improvement and actioning on them.

Success in this role requires a collaborative self-starter who wants to continue developing their technical skills, is curious to understand drivers of business performance and someone who values operational effectiveness and efficiency.

This role is based out of our Toronto office.

  • You will work closely with a team of Finance Professionals to identify, understand, solve and deliver data solutions.
  • Create, own and maintain impactful reports and dashboards for the business to interact with and access regularly.
  • Continue to look for ways to enhance the end users' experience and improve efficiency of your products.
  • Understand and mitigate risks associated with Data Quality across the organization.
  • Effectively automate redundant business processes to save time and effort.
  • Contribute to the team's analytics toolbox by identifying and implementing industry best practices and creating homegrown methodologies for effective solutions.

  • First and foremost, you demonstrate a natural desire to provide exceptional client service through their energy, enthusiasm, and initiative.

In addition, we are looking for the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Statistics
- ~1-2 years of hands-on experience with Power BI (including DAX & M coding) or other similar reporting technologies such as Tableau
- ~1-2 years of experience with coding in using SQL (Example: T-SQL, PL-SQL etc.)
- ~0-1 years of experience with coding in R or Python

  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Excel
  • This position requires sound technical skills, analytical abilities and good judgement with focus on service and business value.
  • Technical: Advanced Analytical & Problem solving skills with a logical bent of mind and selfstarter personality.
  • Industrious: Passionate about solving problems enjoys connecting the dots between data, strategy and analytics, loves to innovate and drive change and is obsess with generating tangible business value;
  • Organized: Able to coordinate multiple tasks and ensure work is delivered ontime and accurately
  • Curious and agile learner, willing to experiment with and learn new technologies;
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to explain complex details and methodologies to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
