We are a "rustic chic" restaurant nestled in nature, 7 minutes from the city. This charming destination spot is a great place for a family night out or a romantic date. Enjoy our large patio peppered with vibrant flowers overlooking the manicured golf course.

In the colder months you can enjoy the crackling sounds of our cozy warm fire place which adds to your quant charm.

The menu is Italian/French cuisine including pastas, pizzas, fish and a bit of everything.


We are looking for:

  • A positive, selfmotivated 'make it happen' attitude
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts across 5day opening hours, including weekends and holidays


Cook Role & Responsibilities:


  • Communicate with other staff members, management, and at times customers
  • Cook menu items to specifications as set out by the Executive Chef
  • Ensure recipe ingredients are checked for quality on a consistent basis
  • Uphold bill time standards
  • Ensure kitchens are being held to the highest health and sanitation standards
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes, procedures, and reduce costs
  • Help your teammates out
Prep

Cook Role & Responsibilities:


  • Complete daily prep lists provided by the Head Chef and Sous Chef
  • Process ingredients; wash, peel, chop, cut, cook, according to Chefs' specifications
  • Prepare fresh condiments
  • Cut meats, poultry and seafood in preparation for cooking
  • Mix ingredients for salads
  • Portion food and prepare them for the line cooks
  • Store food in designated containers and storage areas, according to Chefs' specifications
  • Follow recipes in binder with efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist line cooks in replenishing their station and cleaning

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 40 per week


Salary:
$18.00-$20.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Halifax, NS: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)
