    Summary of Position:

    The Human Resources Generalist supports the implementation of human resource programs for our communities and corporate office. Collaborating with the HR team, this individual enhances the employee experience to deliver exceptional care to residents. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources.

    Responsibilities:

    • Engage and motivate your team to achieve organizational goals and results.
    • Cultivate professional relationships that strengthen the organizational culture.
    • Model the organization's values and leadership behaviors.
    • Support employee appreciation, recognition, and wellness initiatives.
    • Offer guidance on Labour and Employee Relations matters.
    • Participate in collective bargaining and provide contract interpretation.
    • Ensure compliance with HR policies and relevant legislation.
    • Contribute to HR initiatives and employee programs.
    • Provide coaching and guidance on people management best practices.
    • Support leaders in the employee appraisal process.
    • Provide assistance to payroll and benefits functions.
    • Assist in training program coordination.
    • Handle special projects and related duties as needed.
    • Collaborate on labour and employee implications in mergers and acquisitions.
    • Other assigned duties.

    Qualifications:

    • University degree or diploma in Human Resources or related field.
    • 5+ years of Human Resources generalist experience with a focus on Labour Relations.
    • CHRP designation or working towards it is advantageous.
    • Experience in healthcare HR is preferred.
    • Ability to analyze and reason effectively under pressure.
    • Strong ethics and ability to handle confidential information.
    • Enthusiastic with excellent communication skills.
    • Knowledge of relevant legislations.
    • Some travel may be required.
    • Criminal Record Check will be necessary.
    • Experience in Labour relations, Employee Relations, and contract interpretation.
