Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

Mettler Toledo's laboratory division is seeking to hire a Field Service Technician, in the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario who will report to the Regional Service Manager.

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing industry related products at customer locations.

Duties and responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair all Mettler Toledo products within the Business Group
Perform system and equipment installations, calibrations and preventative maintenance duties as required
Review and sign off on all completed assignments and applicable documentation
Collaborate with Mettler Toledo sales employees to determine customer requirements, which may include performing joint sales calls
Lead the efforts in promoting and selling service products
Submit Leads and assist in effort to modernize, upgrade and convert customer existing equipment
Ensure vehicle service and maintenance requirements are met
Maintain a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians and other leaders

What You Need to Succeed

Minimum 2year college diploma in Engineering/Electronics/Instrumentation/Biotechnology
Experience in a technical support role/technical troubleshooting in electronics or electromechanical technology industry is preferred
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel overnight and to work overtime to meet customer demands
Ability to travel within Canada and the U.S.
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
