THE ROLE:
PETRONAS Canada is seeking an experienced professional with exceptional leadership skills to join our growing team in Calgary.

Reporting to the Manager of Facilities Development, you will be responsible for overseeing the Document Control team and managing vital projects and technical reference data.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

  • Update, develop, document and implement document control procedures while acting as a single focal point for all document control matters and resolution of issues
  • Lead and mentor the document control team, ensuring the successful delivery of objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs); provide training and conduct performance management evaluations
  • Design and maintain filing structures that align with project, base plant and operational requirements, while developing and maintaining document access security control structures (permissions)
  • Directly address document control, transfer, access and availability issues with stakeholders and perform quality assessments on outside parties' document deliverables to identify areas of improvement
  • Actively contribute to the information management (IM) improvement projects and competencies, advocating for best practices in document management and the use of our software tools and procedures
  • Manage the collection and movement of electronic documents through the exchange system while upgrading, developing and enhancing the IM and document exchange systems

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 10+ years of senior document controller experience with 35 years in a leadership role
  • Diploma or degree in an Information Managementrelated field is an asset
  • Previous experience managing and delivering projects according to project management methodology, timelines and deliverables is an asset
  • Strong organizational and prioritizing skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a professional demeanor even in critical and time sensitive situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to listen to others' needs and concerns, and respond appropriately and in a timely manner
  • A highly motivated team player and selfstarter who focuses on getting the job done with a high degree of accuracy and with the flexibility to meet operational demands
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot systems, documents, external sources, and control issues while managing document control risks
