We are seeking a skilled and experienced Rigger to join our dynamic team.

As a Rigger, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient movement of heavy equipment and materials on construction sites, in manufacturing facilities, or during various industrial processes.

Your primary responsibilities will include the assembly, installation, and secure attachment of rigging equipment such as cables, pulleys, and hooks to lift and move objects.


Key Responsibilities:

Rigging Setup and Inspection:

Expertise in setting up rigging equipment and ensuring its proper functioning. Regular inspection and maintenance of rigging tools to guarantee safety and efficiency.


Load Calculations:

Proficiency in calculating load weights and determining the appropriate rigging techniques and equipment needed for each lift, considering factors such as load distribution, center of gravity, and environmental conditions.


Safety Compliance:

Adherence to strict safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment. Implementation of safety measures during all phases of rigging operations.


Communication:

Effective communication with team members and other stakeholders to coordinate lifts and ensure everyone is aware of the plan, potential risks, and safety procedures.


Problem Solving:

Ability to troubleshoot and address issues that may arise during rigging operations. Quick decision-making to ensure the safety of personnel and the successful completion of tasks.


Documentation:

Accurate record-keeping of rigging activities, including lift plans, inspections, and equipment maintenance. Compliance with documentation requirements and reporting procedures.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Rigger in construction, manufacturing, or industrial settings.
  • Certification in rigging and signaling is preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
  • Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Salary:

$26.00-$30.00 per hour


Expected hours:
40 per week


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Surrey, BC:
reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


Experience:


  • Rigger: 2 years (preferred)
