The role will be focused on distribution gas assets but can extend to other asset classes.

The role also strives to ensure that ongoing Integrity and Risk Management strategies are aligned with both regulatory and corporate business strategies.


What You Will Do:

  • Develop, maintain and communicate Integrity riskinformed decisionmaking criteria to support daytoday business transactions and longerterm corporate strategies, while maintaining safety, reliability and compliance requirements.
  • Foster relationships and act as a liaison with key internal stakeholders whose directives may impact Integrity and Risk strategy, to remain aligned with GDS strategy.
  • Coordinate and support all Integrity and Risk inputs to the Ontario Energy Board for rate rebasing, Leave to Construct (LTC) Applications and other regulatory engagements, including the preparation of evidence, completion of studies in support of such evidence, and representation at regulatory proceedings including presenting as a key witness as needed.
  • Provide recommendations or technical inputs for the resolution of issues or the development of plans, including harmonization of regulatory treatment for key Integrity Management issues.
  • Work with required teams to inform and resolve issues that are Integrity and Riskrelated, focusing on strategic alignment with other issues and/or Ontario Energy Board directives and evolving regulatory strategies
  • Review technical documents and translate technical findings to nontechnical audiences (in writing and verbally)
  • Conduct Net Present Value assessments in collaboration with other internal stakeholders, to optimize Integrity and Risk recommendations from a technical and financial perspectiveWho You Are:
  • 10+ years of related or relevant experience and Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to understand and communicate complex concepts in simple terms
  • P. Eng. highly preferred
  • Integrity or Risk experience considered an asset
  • Ability to understand financial evaluation techniques such as net present value (NPV) and probabilistic assessments of NPV using Monte Carlo simulations would be considered an asset
  • Proven experience in facilitation in complex environment
  • Strategy creation & planning experience in the Energy industry
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
