- Primary contact for gardeners throughout the summer months
- Supporting covid-19 procedures
- Administrative and communication support
- Solving gardener complaints or disputes
- Addressing facilities or operational problems
- Supporting gardening education
- Representing the university amongst the garden
- Must have strong communication skills
- The ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with internal and external partners
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as setting up water hoses, assisting with setting up garden plots or handling garden tools

Student Assistant
In the appointment of Student Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
Your general location of work will be the McEown Park Community Garden and remotely online, and you will report to Janelle Hutchinson.
Required Number of Hours : Up to 20 hours per week
Duration of Employment : May 13, 2024 up to October 31, 2024
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities): Candidates must be a registered USask graduate student planning to attend classes in Septemberand have a good understanding of urban gardening and food security based on their studies in horticulture, nutrition, sustainability or a related field. Must have experience in gardening, community or student organizing in multicultural settings, knowledgeable about student life in residence and conflict resolution.
