Responsibilities:


Linux Software Program Manager

THE ROLE:

We are in search of an experienced program manager with strong analytical, problem-solving and risk management skills.

Ability to work efficiently and manage effective relationships in a cross-functional organization to meet commitments for successful customer program launches.

Must be self-directed and work in complex and dynamic ecosystems.


THE PERSON:


As a Program Manager you will partner with our cross functional teams to manage customer accounts and their portfolio, understand our customers platforms/solutions.

Identify and document customer requirements and establish engineering schedules.

Drive AMD product solution deliverables and alignment with customers' platforms to ensure highest level customer satisfaction throughout their product lifecycle.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Deliver AMD's GPU driver support for Linux distros, such as Ubuntu, RHEL, SUSE, etc. The work includes planning, working with Release Management, ensuring the drivers are properly validated, and releasing it to the public
  • Deliver AMD's GPU driver support for customerspecific distros. Work involves engaging the customer, gathering the requirements, creating processes to support the distros, proposing a solution, and delivering the final product
  • Create documentation related to distro support for internal and external customers
  • Create project plan using Microsoft Project
  • Communicate effectively, in writing and in person, to deliver clear and concise information to AMD managers and executives. Provide weekly reports for executives

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:


  • Solid oral and written presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly and having credibility with technical teams
  • Experience evaluating risks and tradeoffs, and present solution options to executive teams
  • Solid track record of working within timelines and bold schedules
  • Program management experience in dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within an engineeringbased organization
  • At least 10 years of working experience in related industries
  • Familiarity with the semiconductor industry, especially the various functions of graphics firmware, driver software and platform hardware highly desirable
  • Experience in software development highly desirable
  • Experience in using Linux OS highly preferred
  • Experience with using tools, such as: JIRA, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering
