The Opportunity


As an HR Administration - Intern, you'll be exposed to a wide variety of HR processes and procedures through supporting the HR Team.

From administration, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, and payroll, you'll be able to grow your HR knowledge and experience.


Our HR Intern requires excellent organizational skills, a high-level of proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.


This position provides a wide variety of work from the high level of accuracy required to collect, organize, and process payroll data to the creative thinking required to design and create appealing documents to support our fast-paced business needs and employee engagement.

The Responsibilities

Payroll & HRIS

Support the HR Generalist with payroll administration

Ensure new hire payroll-required information is entered into Workday

Administer Workday onboarding and offboarding processes

Communication

Prepare and send out bi-weekly HR Update newsletter

Prepare employment verification letters

Monitor HR inbox

HR Administration & Support

Support full cycle recruitment for junior positions


Support employee leaves administration:

Liaise with corporate Canada Benefits Team to support leaves

Completing and submitting Employer Statements


Support Tuition Assistance Education Program by:
Coordinating tuition assistance and textbook loan agreements

Auditing outstanding loans and completed courses

Update and maintain HR Download employee list and deploy training

General administration and other duties as required

Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications

Experience working with private & confidential data & dedication to maintaining confidentiality

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Exceptional interpersonal skills, client service orientated professional

Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Proficient with MS Office, specifically Word and Excel

Driven and self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Continuously looking for process improvements

Experience with an HRIS is an asset (Workday)

Education in Human Resources or related field

Administrative and/ or entry level HR experience is an asset
