    About this opportunity:

    Reporting to the Manager, Document Control, this position supports projects and operations, as a member of the Document Management Group, which is responsible for the lifecycle management of all Cenovus Atlantic Region documentation. This client-focused position will assist with the daily activities of the document control center team ensuring timely delivery of information to project clients. It will also assist in client communication and training, and ongoing development of policies and procedures to manage same, as well as implementation of corporate policies and procedures.

    What you'll do:

  • Facilitates timely access to business information in an electronic environment
  • Assists with the daily activities of the document control center team ensuring timely delivery of information to both project and operations clientele
  • Acts as the liaison between the document control center team and clients by listening to document management issues and needs
  • Support and training of project / operations users and clients both internally and externally
  • Identifies difficulties and inadequacies related to data/file management at Cenovus and proposes improvement to maintain quality standards.
  • Ensures that authors and any other provider of documentation adheres to the Documentation Guidance Manual standards, format, etc.
  • Support Major Project Groups as required
  • Support Operations Groups as required
  • Periodic travel to various work sites inside and outside of Canada may be required
  • Periodic travel to offshore facilities to support clients with their document management issues may be required
  • Who you are:

    Required

  • Diploma / certificate in records management or equivalent of education and experience
  • 7 to 10 years' document control experience
  • Understanding of documentation revision control and review / approval process
  • Knowledge and understanding of document workflow and life cycles
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize work requests and meet deadlines based on overall understanding of business impacts
  • Strong working knowledge of an electronic Document Management System (ie, OpenText+)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office
  • Asset

  • Experience within or exposure to the Oil and Gas industry
  • Experience in an engineering environment
