    We are currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated, creative, team player who is self-motivated and goal oriented to fill the position of Senior Strategic Manager.     In this leadership position the successful candidate will directly manage a small team of Key Account Managers, Supervisors and individual contributors, and will be responsible for the overall provincial portfolio strategy, go to market strategy, forecasting, and analysis of the BC retail and on-premise market, in addition to direct responsibility for the high level BCLDB and BCL relationship, with the goal to deliver year over year growth in sales and profitability, all while working closely and in direct collaboration with the Senior Manager, Sales and Execution.

    Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Manage the strategic development and relationship at BC Liquor Stores/BCLDB, including meeting sales and profitability targets and making recommendations on product assortment and pricing to drive growth.

    • Build, Analyze and Influence the Arterra sales strategy for all channels and work with customers and internal partners to ensure strategic alignment. Identify risk and opportunities and escalate cross functionally as required.

    • Consult cross functionally to ensure that supplier agreement obligations are met, including forecasting required products, working with operations and supply chain to ensure fulfillment, developing ROI and costing scenarios with finance, and submitting and processing internal KPI's.

    • Manage profitability through monitoring budgets, discounts and channel budgets.

    • Coaching, motivating and developing direct reports: 2 Key Account Managers, 1 supervisor and 1 coordinator, while providing broad leadership and support to BC Sales Team.

    • Developing a collaborative working relationship with the Senior Manager, Sales and Execution to formulate and roll out AWC's BC portfolio and go to market strategy.
    Job Requirements:

    • University degree or equivalent

    • 10 years sales experience

    • Beverage Alcohol Industry experience preferred or CPG

    • Specific experience with both BCL and BCLDB and a deep, proven understanding of BC beverage alcohol industry and regulation nuances

    • Proven strategic thinking and long term planning aptitude and track record

    • High level of computer literacy. (Ability to Learn Complex Internal Software Programs)

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

    • Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external parties both verbally and in writing

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
