Job Title:
Junior Buyer (Procurement) with SAP Experience


Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our procurement team as a Junior Buyer.

This role focuses on sourcing and procuring goods and services while utilizing the SAP software platform for efficient management of procurement activities.

As a Junior Buyer, you will support the procurement process by assisting in buying activities, collaborating with internal stakeholders, utilizing SAP software, monitoring supplier performance, conducting market research, and contributing to the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

This position is specifically for mine buying.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the procurement process by buying from approved contracts and suppliers.
  • Select suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, delivery, and other relevant criteria.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement requirements and develop effective strategies to meet their needs.
  • Utilize SAP software for creating purchase orders, tracking orders, managing contracts, and maintaining accurate procurement records.
  • Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery times, quality of goods/services, and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, negotiate prices, and establish favorable contractual terms.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and costeffectiveness.
  • Assist in resolving any procurementrelated issues or disputes with suppliers/vendors, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, such as finance, logistics, and operations, to ensure smooth procurement processes and timely delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers/vendors, fostering open communication, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and emerging procurement practices to enhance knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience (internship or entrylevel) in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software for procurement activities.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, including supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make datadriven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers/vendors.
  • Detailoriented with strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) are a plus.
